WhatsApp new update makes calling smoother
WhatsApp Rolls Out Beta 2.25.11.3 for Android β Whatβs New?
WhatsApp has updated its call menu for chats and groups to enhance the calling experience for its users.
The new update is only available to some Android beta testers and is available through Google Play Store.
The new update adds a call menu to the top bar of the conversations or chat boxes. It replaces two buttons used to initiate voice and video calls with one button.
In single person chats, this button displays a voice call icon but this does not mean that the users cannot make video calls anymore as when users tap on the call button, a new menu open ups and allows the user to choose between a voice or video call.
The menu also gives a shortcut to quickly create and share a call link. Through this feature, users can invite others to join a call.
The new update also allows the user to select which group members to call rather than calling the entire list of participants.
