PSL 10 trophy ‘Luminara’ unveiled in spectacular underwater ceremony

The official trophy for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, named ‘Luminara,’ was revealed in a grand ceremony at the coastal waters of Karachi on Thursday.

A professional diver, with assistance from the Pakistan Navy, retrieved a treasure chest containing the trophy from the Arabian Sea in a three-minute video released by the league’s official page. The unveiling marked the celebration of PSL’s 10-year journey.

The event was attended by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, franchise representatives, and prominent cricketers, including Sarfaraz Ahmed and Rumman Raees.

Inspired by Latin words for ‘torch’ and ‘light,’ the name ‘Luminara’ symbolizes the league’s legacy.

PSL 10 Schedule and Key Matches

PSL 10 is set to commence on April 11, with defending champions Islamabad United facing Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The six-team tournament will feature 34 matches across four cities, concluding on May 18 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Key highlights of the season include:

Exhibition Match: Scheduled for April 8 in Peshawar (teams to be announced).

Rawalpindi Matches: Hosting 11 games, including the first Qualifier on May 13.

Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium: Hosting 13 matches, including two Eliminators and the final.

Karachi & Multan: Each city to host five matches.

Double-Headers: Three matches on weekends and one on Labour Day.

Karachi Kings, champions of PSL 5, will start their campaign on April 12 against last season’s runners-up, Multan Sultans. Meanwhile, the first PSL 10 match in Multan will take place on April 22, featuring Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars.

The tournament will also see Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators play their respective home matches in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
