Youm-e-Ali (RA) being observed with religious fervor today

The martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA) – Youm-e-Ali – is being observed today (Saturday) with religious fervour amid tight security across Pakistan.
The main congregation will be held at Nishtar Park on the 21st of Ramadan, followed by the central procession, which is set to begin at 1:00 PM with thousands of cops are expected to perform security duties.
The Home Departments of all provinces issued comprehensive security directives for Youm-e-Shahadat of Hazrat Ali (RA), instructing all stakeholders to ensure strict implementation.
Mourning processions are being taken out in almost all big cities and towns to mark the day.
In Karachi, the main mourning procession will commence from Nishtar Park, it will pass through Nishtar Park, Nursery, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze, and will reach the Empress Market in Saddar. The procession will culminate at Hussainiya Iranain Imambargah.
Meanwhile, in Lahore, where over 7000 cops will performing security duty on procession route, it will commence from Mubarak Haveli in the historic Mochi Gate and will culminate at Karbala Gamay Shah at the time of Iftar.
Mourning processions will also be taken out in Rawalpindi, Peshawar Quetta and several other cities.
To facilitate the procession, Karachi’s M.A. Jinnah Road from Guru Mandir to Tower will be closed for regular traffic. Traffic police will be on duty to manage diversions and assist commuters.
Alternate routes for public use in Karachi
Nazimabad traffic: Use Lasbela Chowk and Nishtar Road to reach Garden.
Liaquatabad commuters: Take Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail routes.
Hasan Square to PP Chowrangi traffic: Diverted via Kashmir Road to Society Light Signal.
Jail Flyover traffic: Redirected towards Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road.
Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish traffic: Use Kashmir Road.
Jamshed Road to Guru Mandir traffic: Take Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar.
