Pakistan’s government has reduced electricity prices by Rs7.59 per unit, giving relief to households and businesses struggling with high bills. The new rates come just as summer begins, when people use more electricity for fans and air conditioners.

For home users:

  • 200 units: Bill drops from Rs9,740 to Rs7,528 (Save Rs2,212)
  • 300 units: Bill drops from Rs14,610 to Rs11,292 (Save Rs3,318)
  • 500 units: Bill drops from Rs24,350 to Rs18,820 (Save Rs5,530)

Businesses will save even more:

  • 1,000 units: Bill drops from Rs58,500 to Rs40,510 (Save Rs17,990)
  • 3,000 units: Bill drops from Rs175,500 to Rs121,530 (Save Rs54,000)

Important note: These savings don’t include taxes and other charges that will still appear on your bill. The price cut only applies to the basic electricity rate.
