Is CID’s ACP Pradyuman coming back? Check details

Just when CID fans were mourning the unexpected exit of the beloved ACP Pradyuman, played by veteran actor Shivaji Satam, new developments have turned the tide. Reports now suggest that the iconic character is all set to return to the screen, much to the delight of long-time viewers.

According to The Times of India, Shivaji Satam is expected to resume shooting for CID within the next few weeks. The emotional backlash following the character’s off-screen “death” had been intense, especially after Sony TV’s tribute post, calling it “the end of an era.” This left fans wondering if the departure was truly final.

However, a production insider has confirmed that the beloved ACP is far from gone:
“ACP Pradyuman is an iconic character and he can never die. Shivaji Satam will be back on the show in a few weeks.”

Parth Samthaan, who briefly stepped in during Satam’s absence, is now expected to appear only for a limited arc. Given CID’s history of dramatic twists and character revivals, this move doesn’t come as a complete surprise.

Previously, ACP Pradyuman was believed to have died in an explosion orchestrated by villain Barboza (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia). But since the incident wasn’t shown directly, fans held onto hope. In a prior chat with Bombay Times, Satam himself said,
“I have taken a break for some time… but I have not been told whether my track is over or not.”

Now, with confirmation of his return, fans can breathe easy—ACP Pradyuman is ready to bring justice back to CID once again.
