Pakistan for martyrdom
President Asif Zardari said that we are especially grateful to Army Chief General Asim Munir, who can look the enemy straight in the eye.
President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, while addressing officers and soldiers at Gujranwala Cantonment, said: “My salute and congratulations go out to all of you brave soldiers. The martyrs are honored—if this land exists, then we all exist; if this land does not, then nothing else matters.”
The President said that God has given you success. You have sent a message to the world. India must have come to know what it is like to compete with real soldiers. In time of difficulty, every Pakistani is ready to sacrifice his life and property for Pakistan.
Zardari said that slavery to the enemy is not acceptable to any proud Pakistani. Pakistan is a country, a nation, and an Islamic republic.
The President said, “We live for martyrdom—may your spirit and determination always remain high.”
