Shehbaz Sharif reaches Quetta to discuss law and order in Balochistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Quetta on Saturday for a one-day trip. His main goal was to attend an important meeting (jirga) to discuss the law and order situation in Balochistan.

When he arrived at Quetta Airport, he was welcomed by Acting Governor Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, and other senior officials.

The jirga took place in Quetta and included tribal elders, political leaders, ministers, and lawmakers from all over the province. They talked about the rising violence in Balochistan and how they can work together to bring peace.

Officials said PM Shehbaz spoke with local leaders and tribal elders about security and development. He asked for their help in making the region more stable and peaceful.

This meeting is part of a larger plan to involve local communities in solving problems and improving life in Balochistan.

Later in the day, PM Shehbaz also visited people injured in the recent Sorab blast. The explosion killed several people and injured many others. The Prime Minister met the victims and assured them that the government will help them.

Violence in some areas of Balochistan has increased in recent months, with attacks on both security forces and civilians. The federal government says it is fully committed to fighting terrorism and bringing peace back to the region with the help of local people and the provincial government.
