Fallon Sherrock to Take Break from Darts in 2026 Due to Health Issues

04 June, 2025 15:41

Fallon Sherrock, one of the most well-known female darts players in the world, has revealed she is planning to take a break from darts in 2026 for health reasons.

In an interview with Online Darts, Sherrock, 30, said her health has not been the same since the birth of her son Rory in 2014. She has been dealing with kidney problems ever since.

Not at Her Best Yet

Sherrock admitted she is not playing at her full strength right now.
“I feel like it’s my B-game at the moment,” she said. “I don’t know if I can bring out my A-game.”

She said her energy levels are low, and it’s hard for her to even practice at home.
“All I want is to practice for a few hours a day, but I can’t,” she added. “That makes it really difficult.”

Health Comes First

Sherrock said she had to pull out of some recent events because of low stamina.
“I’ve had to narrow down what I’m playing in. That hurts because I love darts,” she said.

She plans to play as much as she can in 2025, even if she’s not at her best.
“If I’m going to have a year out next year, I want to make a bang this year.”

Her main goal now is to get healthy and come back stronger.
“I need to sort myself out, get well, and then the sky’s the limit,” she said.

Still Fighting

Sherrock is best known as the “Queen of the Palace” after becoming the first woman to win a match at the PDC World Championship in 2019. That moment made her a role model for women in darts.

Despite her health struggles, she says she is not quitting the sport just yet.
“I’m determined to keep fighting,” she said. “Fingers crossed, in a couple of years I’ll be alright and back to winning well.”
