Five Indian-Sponsored Terrorists Neutralized in Separate Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

16 June, 2025 16:08

RAWALPINDI – At least five terrorists affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), described as Indian-sponsored Khwarij, were killed in two separate security operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 15 and 16, the military’s media wing reported.

An intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in Peshawar district targeted the reported presence of Indian-backed Khwarij. During the operation, troops effectively surrounded the militants’ location and engaged in an intense firefight. Four terrorists, including Kharji Haris and Kharji Baseer, were killed.

Another operation in North Waziristan resulted in the elimination of one more Khwarij after a firefight, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the Indian sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in these areas,” the ISPR stated.

The military added that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists in the area. “The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country,” it said.
