A viral video showing a hotel in Hunza discharging untreated sewage into a nearby lake has sparked national outrage, drawing sharp criticism from singer and actor Ali Zafar. The footage reveals potentially harmful pollution affecting the region’s pristine waters and threatening its ecological balance.

Ali Zafar, known for his strong stance on social and environmental issues, condemned the act, calling it “absolutely unacceptable.” He emphasized the urgent need to preserve Hunza’s natural beauty, stating the importance of protecting the area’s ecological integrity.

Though Zafar has not initiated legal action, his reaction has stirred widespread concern among fans and environmental advocates, intensifying calls for accountability. A resident from Northern Pakistan also voiced concern, highlighting the hotel’s behavior as a “serious environmental issue.”
