Iran FM Calls Israeli Strikes on Nuclear Sites War Crimes at UN

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi described Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities as serious war crimes.

Speaking at the United Nations Human Rights Council, Abbas Araqchi said that he is determined to defend his territorial integrity and sovereignty with all his might.

He added that a meeting with the US was scheduled for June 15 to reach an encouraging agreement, but the Israeli attacks were a betrayal of diplomacy.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that an unjustified war was imposed on the Iranian people, and Iran is defending itself against Israeli barbarity.

He said that Israel is targeting innocent civilians in Iran, and it is our fundamental right to protect our sovereignty.

Abbas Araqchi said that we are responding to Israel in accordance with the UN Charter. The UN Charter gives us the full right to defend our country.

He further said that Israel has violated the UN Charter and international law, and that Israeli aggression is a violation of peace and law.
