Iran Launches Missile Strikes on Israel Before Ceasefire, Four Israelis Killed

24 June, 2025 10:41

Before the scheduled ceasefire took effect, Iran and Israel continued a series of attacks against each other.

According to reports, Iran launched three missile strikes on Israel throughout the morning, hitting the southern city of Beersheba and resulting in the deaths of four Israelis, with several others wounded. Explosions were also reported in the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

In response, Israel carried out heavy attacks on Tehran, with powerful explosions heard in the cities of Karaj and Rajai. Following these strikes, authorities issued new evacuation warnings for residents in two areas of Tehran.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran and Israel have reached an agreement to implement a ceasefire.

Trump announced on his social media platform Truth Social that Israel and Iran have agreed to a complete ceasefire, which will begin six hours from now after both sides conclude their final operations.

He claimed that Iran will initiate the ceasefire first, followed by Israel within 12 hours, with global recognition of the ceasefire expected by the 24th hour.

Trump praised both nations for their courage and wisdom in ending the 12-day war, stating that the conflict had the potential to escalate and devastate the Middle East, but that outcome was successfully avoided.
