The Government of Pakistan is continuing its efforts to improve maternal and child health through the Benazir Nashonuma Program, a key part of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). This initiative provides monthly cash assistance and health support to pregnant women and children under the age of two.
What Is the Benazir Nashonuma Program?
The program aims to fight malnutrition, reduce infant mortality, and ensure healthy early development. It provides financial support and medical guidance to mothers during and after pregnancy.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this program:
- You must be pregnant or have a child aged 0–23 months
- You must already be a registered BISP beneficiary
- You must attend regular check-ups, health sessions, and follow vaccination and nutrition guidelines
Benefits You Can Receive
- Once registered, beneficiaries will get:
- Rs. 2,500 per month for pregnant women
- Rs. 2,500 per child for mothers of newborns (up to 2 years old)
- Rs. 500 bonus for attending awareness sessions
- Free medical check-ups at selected government centers

How to Register
- To join the program:
- Visit the nearest Nashonuma Center (usually in government hospitals)
- Bring your CNIC and BISP registration slip
- If pregnant, undergo a medical check-up
- If you have a child under 2, bring their birth certificate or vaccination card
- Complete a nutritional screening and attend a short health session
- You’ll then be added to the system and receive payments through JazzCash or bank transfer
