Pakistan–US Relations Have Always Been Strong and Will Continue: Shafqat Ali Khan
During a press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said that the Prime Minister is leading the Pakistani delegation at the ECO Summit and is currently in Azerbaijan to attend the 17th ECO Summit.
He further stated that Pakistan has assumed the presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the month of July. The Deputy Prime Minister held a telephonic conversation with the Foreign Minister of Türkiye. Pakistan will preside over meetings related to multilateralism, the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and the issue of Palestine.
Commenting on bilateral relations, he said that Pakistan and the United States have had strong relations and will continue to do so. Regarding Pakistan-Afghanistan ties, he said the core issue is terrorism. He also accused India of involvement in terrorism, stating that India has no evidence against Pakistan.
The spokesperson added that whenever the SAARC Summit is held, it will take place in Pakistan.
