12 Tourists Caught in Flash Flood in Tharparkar; 1 Dead, 11 Rescued

Tharparkar: A group of twelve tourists visiting the scenic Karoonjhar Hills in Nagarparkar were caught in a sudden flash flood. Rescue teams managed to save eleven individuals, while one tourist drowned. His body has been recovered.

Rescue sources confirmed that the deceased belonged to the Garden area of Karachi. Among the rescued, four are residents of Karachi, while seven are from Mithi. The group had traveled to Karoonjhar Hills and the Maya Dam waterfalls for sightseeing.

Police reported that rainfall, varying in intensity from light to heavy, has been ongoing in the Nagarparkar region since yesterday. The local administration has issued precautionary advisories for visitors and residents in light of the weather conditions.
