Asfandyar Wali Defamation Case
The court, accepting the claim of ANP leader Asfandyar Wali, has ordered PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai to pay Rs 1 million in damages.
The Peshawar Sessions Court has approved the ANP leader’s claim in a damages case filed by Asfandyar Wali against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shaukat Yousafzai and ordered former provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai to pay Rs 1 million in damages.
The sessions court issued an 11-page written decision. The decision said that according to the petitioner, Shaukat Yousafzai had leveled allegations against Asfandyar Wali on July 26, 2019, saying that he had traded the heads of Pakhtuns.
The court decision states that Asfandyar Wali had filed a claim for damages of one billion rupees against Shaukat Yousafzai. Shaukat Yousafzai, while taking a stand in this case, referred to the statement of PTI leader Azam Khan Hoti.
In its decision, the court ordered former provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai to pay Rs 1 million in damages.
It should be noted that Shaukat Yousafzai had accused Asfandyar Wali of trading Pakhtuns for $25 million, for which Asfandyar Wali had filed a damages case against Shaukat Yousafzai in 2019.
