A Sunrise Proposal in France

The couple began their day in Nice at 1:30 a.m. They drove two hours just to see the sunrise in the lavender fields of Valensole. That’s where Fitzpatrick got down on one knee.

A photographer captured the special moment. Heinrich told People magazine, “It was so breathtaking. It felt like a fairy tale.”

Who Is Brian Fitzpatrick?

Brian Fitzpatrick, 51, has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2016. He represents Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District.

Heinrich, 36, said she admires him deeply: “He’s smart, kind, and strong in his faith. He helps bring me closer to God.”

Political Drama Almost Ruined the Trip

Fitzpatrick almost had to cancel the trip. At the time, Congress was busy discussing the One Big Beautiful Bill that former President Trump wanted to sign by July 4.

But Fitzpatrick made it work. Heinrich said they packed 10 days’ worth of travel into less than 48 hours.

The Ring Story

Fitzpatrick got the ring from Attos Estate Jewelers in Portland, Maine. That’s Heinrich’s family’s trusted jeweler.

He had to step out of a committee hearing when the jeweler called him. They had found the perfect diamond in Miami, and he didn’t want to miss the chance.

“Brian said yes, and here we are!” Heinrich told Fox News Digital.
