Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Jasmeen posted a screenshot from her mobile gallery, showing visible swelling around her eye. Alongside the image, she wrote, “This is me . Yes this is my story my life destroyed by violent man. I leave my justice to my Allah.”

In a follow-up tweet aimed at those supporting her ex-husband, she stated that this is for those who sided with a criminal and a gift given to me by her ex-husband.
