FRC Required for Visa Processing – Check NADRA Fee for August 2025
The Family Registration Certificate (FRC) is issued by NADRA to confirm a person’s family structure as per official records. While it cannot be used as a legal document, it is often required for matters like inheritance and especially for visa processing.
FRC for Visa Purposes
FRC is mainly needed for embassy-related matters. Overseas Pakistanis who wish to bring their families abroad must provide this certificate when applying for visas.
FRC by Marriage – Who Needs It?
For visa applications, most people apply for the FRC by marriage, which includes the applicant’s spouse and children. To be eligible, all family members must be registered with NADRA and have valid 13-digit ID numbers.
How to Apply for an FRC
There are two ways to apply for the FRC:
NADRA Registration Center (NRC):
- Visit the nearest NRC.
- If children are under 18, they must be present for photographs.
- Data is entered, verified, and the FRC is issued the same day.
- For children 18 or older, their photo is taken separately, and only the applicant’s data is required.
Pak Identity Mobile App:
Applicants can apply online using the Pak Identity App and receive the FRC digitally via email. This method is useful for those living abroad or unable to visit a NADRA center.
Required Documents for FRC by Marriage
- CNIC/NICOP/POC numbers of spouse and children.
- Correct spelling of names (as per NADRA).
- Photos of children under 18.
- All family members must be registered; unregistered members won’t appear.
- If there’s a POC holder in the family, they must apply themselves and list relatives.
NADRA FRC Fee – August 2025
The fee for FRC by marriage is Rs. 1,000 and is issued the same day at the NRC or sent digitally if applied online.
