Punjab Floods: PDMA Releases Report Detailing Deaths, Damage

LAHORE – The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report on the damages caused by floods in Punjab.

According to the PDMA, 30 people have lost their lives due to flooding across the province. In Lahore, two deaths were reported after lightning strikes.

The report stated that floodwaters have affected 2,308 villages, while more than 1.516 million people across Punjab have been impacted. Rescue teams have shifted around 481,000 stranded individuals to safe locations.

To support flood victims, the PDMA confirmed that 115 relief camps have been set up in the affected districts, where displaced people are being provided shelter and basic facilities.

Authorities continue to monitor rivers and vulnerable areas closely to prevent further loss of life and property.
