India Faces Riots Over Modi’s Extremist Policies

Extremist Modi’s communal policy and hatred pushed India towards destruction, as Odisha is in the grip of riots due to Modi’s extremist policies.

Riots break out during the Durga Puja procession in the Indian city of Odisha. In view of the severe riots, the local administration has imposed an internet ban.

According to NDTV, a curfew has been imposed in the city for 36 hours in view of the riots.

An angry mob of extremist Hindus set fire to eight to ten places, the NDTV reported.

However, tensions that began on Saturday night escalated into serious communal riots on Sunday.

The Indian television channel additionally claimed that during the rally, protesters shouted provocative slogans and demanded a “Hindu-only identity” for the city.

Shiv Sena Lok Sabha member Priyanka Chaturvedi says, When the BJP government comes, it increases division and communalism among the people.

“This is a very sad incident,” said Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi.

Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said that all this is being done only to inflame communal tension.

Congressman Pramod Tiwari added that BJP is deliberately spreading communalism.

Communalism in Odisha is the latest example of the spreading Hindutva extremism and state terror in India.
