Punjab govt announces new winter school schedule from October 16

The Punjab government has officially announced the new winter school timings for all public and private schools across the province. The new schedule will be in effect from October 16, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

Single-Shift Schools

For boys’ schools, classes will start at 8:45 am and end at 2:45 pm from Monday to Thursday, while on Friday, school will close at 12:30 pm.

For girls’ schools, timings will be 8:30 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 12:15 pm on Friday.

Double-Shift Schools

In double-shift boys’ schools, the first shift will run from 8:45 am to 12:45 pm (Monday to Thursday) and end at 12:30 pm on Friday.
The second shift will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Monday to Thursday) and 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday.

For double-shift girls’ schools, the morning shift will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Monday to Thursday) and end at 12:15 pm on Friday.

The afternoon shift will be from 12:45 pm to 4:45 pm (Monday to Thursday), and 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm on Friday.

These updated timings have been introduced to adjust to the winter weather and ensure that the academic schedule continues smoothly throughout the season. Schools have been instructed to follow the new schedule strictly.
