Bilawal Bhutto says youth are future of the nation
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed sports teams from Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir at the 35th National Games in Karachi.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Bilawal said the Sindh government is organizing the National Games to promote sports and a culture of healthy activities across the country. He added that the first National Games were inaugurated by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Bilawal emphasized that sports encourage a healthy society. He said the youth are the future of Pakistan and will excel in every field, bringing gold medals and other honors to the country. He urged the nation and young people to actively participate in the National Games.
After an 18-year gap, Sindh is hosting the 35th edition of the National Games, which began with a grand opening ceremony at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sports Minister and President of the Sindh Olympic Association Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, Olympian Arshad Nadeem, and Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar were also present at the ceremony.
The event brings together athletes from all provinces to compete and celebrate sportsmanship, marking a significant milestone in promoting youth development and healthy activities in Pakistan.
