Pakistan Taunts India in PAK vs AUS T20I Promo

The Pakistan Cricket Board has released a new promotional video for the upcoming Pakistan–Australia T20 series. The video seems to make a light and subtle joke about India following the recent no-handshake controversy.

The promo highlights Pakistan’s hospitality and strong love for cricket. In one scene, an Australian tourist is shown riding in a taxi. The driver refuses to take money for the ride and instead thanks the guest warmly.

However, when the Australian gets out of the taxi without offering a handshake, the driver jokingly says, “Handshake bhool gaye aap, lagta hai padosiyo ke paas bhi ruke the” (“You forgot the handshake, looks like you even stopped by the neighbors”).

Many viewers believe this scene is a clear reference to India’s refusal to shake hands with Pakistani players during the ACC Asia Cup 2025. The same behavior was later seen from India’s women’s and junior teams during their matches against Pakistan.

India’s decision to avoid handshakes created a lot of discussion and debate at the time. The PCB’s latest promo suggests that the incident is still being remembered.

Another character in the video, Agha Ji, adds to the message by saying that Pakistanis are known for their hospitality, but when it comes to cricket, they are always ready for competition.

The promo builds excitement for the three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Australia. The series will begin on January 29, while the second and third matches will be played on January 31 and February 1. All three matches will be held in Lahore.
