Massive Fire Erupts at Textile Factory in Karachi SITE Area

A fire broke out at a textile factory in Karachi’s SITE Area industrial zone.

Chief Fire Officer Humayun Ahmed stated that six fire tenders were initially deployed, but the blaze was later declared a third-degree fire, prompting a city-wide response. Currently, 14 fire tenders, along with snorkels and water bowsers, are at the scene to douse the flames.

According to Rescue 1122, the fire is now 70% controlled and has been prevented from spreading further. Once the blaze is fully extinguished, the cooling process will begin.

Meanwhile, IG Sindh Javed Alam ordered police officials to reach the factory immediately to ensure the security of the affected building and the surrounding areas.
