NRF Fighters Kill Badakhshan Police Chief Maulvi Merajuddin in Takhar Ambush

Fighters from the National Resistance Front (NRF) reportedly killed Maulvi Merajuddin, the Taliban-appointed police chief of Badakhshan Province, in an ambush in Takhar Province.

According to local reports, Merajuddin was traveling to Takhar when NRF fighters targeted his vehicle in a roadside attack. The ambush allegedly resulted in his death.

The NRF has carried out multiple attacks against Taliban officials and security forces across northern Afghanistan, particularly in provinces such as Takhar and Badakhshan. Taliban authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
