US-Israel plot to blame Iran for new 9/11 false flag: Ali Larijani

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, has issued a warning about what he described as a potential “false flag” operation allegedly being planned by the United States and Israel to implicate Iran in a large-scale terrorist incident.

In a message posted Sunday on the social platform X, Larijani claimed that elements linked to the “Epstein network” could attempt to stage an attack similar to the September 11 attacks. He stressed that Iran is “resolutely” defending itself against U.S. and Israeli actions but rejects any involvement in terrorist plots, adding that the country harbors no hostility toward the American public.

Separately, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi suggested that Israel might target non-military sites in Arab countries to damage their diplomatic ties with Tehran. His comments followed statements from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which denied responsibility for recent drone strikes reported in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

Araghchi further alleged that the United States has produced drones resembling Iran’s Shahed drone models and could use them in attacks to attribute blame to Tehran.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions and growing speculation about intelligence reports. Esmaeil Baghaei, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, recently questioned the timing of U.S. intelligence claims suggesting Iran might launch drone attacks from vessels positioned near the California coast.

Baghaei dismissed the reports sarcastically, saying they could serve as a pretext for a false flag scenario and remarking that the United States already possesses “plenty of copied Iranian drones.”

The developments unfold as the ongoing conflict, which reportedly began on February 28 after the assassination of Ali Khamenei and several senior military commanders, enters its third week. Since the start of hostilities, Iranian forces say they have launched more than 50 waves of retaliatory strikes under “Operation True Promise 4.”

Iranian officials also claim that U.S. and Israeli attacks on residential neighborhoods, schools, and hospitals have resulted in at least 1,348 deaths, raising concerns over the growing humanitarian impact of the conflict.
