The Deputy Commissioner of Sahiwal, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, has announced a local holiday in Sahiwal on April 1, 2026, in honor of the Urs of Hazrat Baba Muhammad Panah (RA).
The district administration has issued an official notification confirming that Wednesday will be observed as a holiday to mark this religious occasion. This step has been taken to allow residents to participate in the commemorative activities and pay their respects during the Urs celebrations.
In an official statement, the Deputy Commissioner said,
“The Deputy Commissioner, Captain (R) Samiullah Farooq, has announced a local holiday in Sahiwal on April 1 for the Urs of Hazrat Baba Muhammad Panah (RA).”

The Urs of Hazrat Baba Muhammad Panah (RA) is an important spiritual event in the region, drawing devotees from across Sahiwal and neighboring areas. The local holiday ensures that citizens, government employees, and students can observe the occasion fully.
