Iran Welcomes COAS Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi have arrived in Iran along with a high-level delegation as part of ongoing diplomatic mediation efforts, according to official sources.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that the delegation will hold important talks with Iranian leadership focused on easing regional tensions and advancing peace discussions.

Pakistan is actively working to facilitate the resumption of dialogue between Iran and the United States, aiming to support stability in the Middle East.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that continuous messages are being exchanged through Pakistani mediation efforts to sustain the ceasefire and move toward a broader peace framework.

Iran has also indicated that indirect diplomatic engagement with the United States is ongoing, as part of efforts to reduce regional escalation.

According to officials, Pakistan is expected to continue its mediating role, with further high-level exchanges likely aimed at achieving a comprehensive ceasefire agreement and long-term regional stability.
