Punjab Government Announces Compensation for Victims of Kahna Roof Collapse

The Punjab government has announced financial compensation for the victims of the tragic roof collapse in Lahore’s Kahna area, which claimed the lives of 14 children. The announcement was made following directives issued by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

According to Adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister Zeeshan Malik, the families of each of the deceased children will receive Rs2 million in compensation. The financial assistance is intended to support the bereaved families in the aftermath of the tragedy.

The Punjab government also announced that each person injured in the incident will receive Rs500,000 in compensation. Authorities have pledged to provide support to the affected families while investigations into the cause of the roof collapse continue.
