Violence Reported as Members of Outlawed Committee Allegedly Attack Civilians in Azad Kashmir

Reports from Azad Jammu and Kashmir allege that banned “public action committee” carried out a violent attack on local civilians, leaving two people seriously injured. According to initial accounts, 20 to 25 armed assailants allegedly targeted Nasser Arbab, secretary general of a traders’ association, and his cousin Hassam.
Witnesses and local sources claim the victims were subjected to severe assault at gunpoint for several hours before being abandoned unconscious near a road close to Rawalakot. The attackers reportedly fled the scene after the incident. In a separate development, disruption caused by road blockages near Jandala Cross is said to have delayed an ambulance attempting to reach the injured.
Local traders and residents have expressed concern over rising incidents of violence and intimidation in the area, urging authorities to take swift action. Security forces and law enforcement agencies are expected to investigate the incident and work to restore order.
