Two Separate Drowning Incidents Reported in Rawalpindi and Lower Dir

Two separate drowning incidents in Rawalpindi and Lower Dir have left at least three people dead, officials said on Sunday.
In Rawalpindi, two young men drowned while swimming in a mini-dam near a private housing society on Adiala Road. According to a rescue spokesperson, the victims were identified as 24-year-old Hilal and 19-year-old Zeeshan. Their bodies were recovered from the water after rescue operations were launched at the scene.
In a separate incident in Lower Dir’s Akhgram area, two youths drowned in the Panjkora River. Rescue teams managed to recover one body, while search operations are ongoing to locate the second missing individual.
Authorities have urged citizens to exercise caution near natural and artificial water bodies, especially during the summer season when drowning incidents tend to increase.
