Ishaq Dar Reviews Nationwide Implementation of PM’s Fuel Relief Scheme

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Fuel Subsidy to review the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Special Relief Scheme following its nationwide launch.

The committee reviewed progress on registration, token redemption and payments to fuel stations across the country.

Ishaq Dar directed the establishment of a dedicated round-the-clock mechanism to address complaints and provide technical support to consumers and fuel stations.

The deputy prime minister stressed that no citizen carrying a valid token should be turned away and directed authorities to ensure that relief reaches the intended beneficiaries without unnecessary hurdles.

The meeting was attended by the ministers for Petroleum, Economic Affairs, Information and Broadcasting, and IT and Telecommunication, along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa.

The Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Chairman OGRA, Secretary Petroleum, Additional Chief Secretaries of Punjab and Sindh, and senior officials from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad Capital Territory and relevant federal and provincial departments also attended the meeting.
