Vidya Balan Makes Jailer 2 Debut as Kantha, Teaser Reveals Intense Look

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has made her debut in the cast of Jailer 2. The film makers has also unveiled the actress’ first look as Kantha which offering fans an early look at her intense role in the much-awaited sequel Jailer 2.

The makers unveiled Vidya’s character soon after introducing Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu as Dileep. In the recent teaser Vidya appear walking down the staircase wearing a blue sari with cigarette in hand, portraying a strong and confident character.

The teaser suggests that Vidya’s Kantha may have a tense confrontation with Rajinikanth’s character, Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The character of Vida in the teaser shows that she blowing smoke while looking ahead, as Anirudh Ravichander’s powerful background put more dramatic and intense mood.

Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Mirnaa, who are back in Jailer 2 to their roles from the 2023 hit Jailer. The forthcoming sequel shows Vidya Balan and Suraj Venjaramoodu as flourishes to its cast list.

The sequel is anticipated to carry on the story of Muthuvel Pandian after the events of the first film. The writer and director of this film is Neslon Dilipkumar and it produced by Kalanithi Maran under sun pictures banner.

The makers previously released an action-packed announcement teaser that kept the storyline mostly secret while confirming Rajinikanth’s return. The film’s first song, Ala Bolelo, was released in August and features Shamna Kasim, along with a special appearance by Rajinikanth.

With Vidya Balan’s first look now revealed, fans are looking forward to seeing how Kantha’s character will connect with Rajinikanth’s Muthuvel Pandian in Jailer 2.
