Field Marshal Asim Munir Reviews Security Situation, Counter-Terrorism Operations in KP

PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar on Monday and reviewed the prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the visit, the COAS & CDF was briefed on ongoing counter-terrorism operations, border management measures and the operational preparedness of formations deployed across the province.

Field Marshal Asim Munir commended the high morale, readiness and professionalism of officers and troops, acknowledging their continued commitment to protecting the country and its people.

He directed the formations to remain vigilant and maintain the highest standards of operational preparedness.

The COAS & CDF said the armed forces, with the support of the nation, remained determined to defeat terrorism and contribute to lasting peace and stability across the country.

Tribute to Martyrs

Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada, where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha for those who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country and in the fight against terrorism.

He paid tribute to the martyrs and reaffirmed that their sacrifices would always be remembered.

Upon arrival at Corps Headquarters, the COAS & CDF was received by the Commander Peshawar Corps.
