Questions Raised Over PTI Fundraising Campaign Ahead of September 27 March

ISLAMABAD: Questions have emerged over a fundraising campaign linked to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned September 27 long march, after the party’s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja distanced himself from the campaign.

Raja said he had no involvement in running party fundraising activities or bank accounts and that his name was being used on social media and through other channels without his involvement.

“I have no connection with party fundraising or operating bank accounts,” Raja said while clarifying his position.

His statement has raised questions about who initiated the fundraising campaign, who approved it and who is responsible for overseeing the collection and use of the funds.

The fundraising drive has also prompted questions about the identity of those managing the campaign and the accounts through which contributions are being collected.
