Commerce Ministry updates Minister on tariff rationalization measures on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Commerce updated the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin.

They did so during a meeting on tariff rationalization.
According to press statement issued by the finance ministry, the the federal minister presided over the meeting.
Officials concerned briefed him on tariff rationalization measures.
Besides, they apprised him its role in enhancing economic activities in the country.
Meanwhile, the minister spoke on the occasion. He underlined tariff rationalization as a pressing need of the time.
He said, rationalizing tariff structure must aim at broadening and strengthening industrial base and contribute towards overall economic growth.
Moreover, he noted a dynamic tariff structure vital for export-led industrialization and improves competitiveness of domestic industry.
