Anti terrorism court acquits MQM workers arrested during Nine Zero raid in March 2015.

The ATC in Karachi absolved them in case relating to illegal possession of explosives.

However, the judgment came six years after the 2015 raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s headquarters Nine Zero.

Then, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) arrested many suspected target killers and criminals.

They included: Faisal Mota, Obaid K2, Nadir Shah, Amir Sarpatta, Nauman, Farhan Shabbir.

Rangers nabbed them during a raid at Nine Zero in Azizabad on March 11, 2015.

Moreover, they claimed seizure of a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, according to the court, the prosecution had failed to prove the allegations against MQM workers in 52 cases.

However, the court also sentenced Faisal Mota to prison for 10 years, and Farhan Shabbir for eight years.

They included among 12 others sentenced for possessing illegal weapons.

Twenty-six people named in the case.
