Reports had it Blinken press them to build on last week’s Gaza ceasefire by laying the groundwork for an eventual resumption in long-stalled peace talks.

U.S. President Joe Biden announced Blinken would depart today for a short visit to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan and Egypt.

Analysts see it as the Biden administration’s first highest-level in-person meetings in the region on the crisis that erupted earlier this month.

In a statement, Biden said the time is not right for an immediate resumption in negotiations between the two sides.

But that steps could be taken — mainly humanitarian initiatives — to repair damage from Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

“I don’t think we’re in a place where getting to some kind of a negotiation for what ultimately, I think, has to be the result, which is a two-state solution, is the first order of business,” he said.

“We have to start building back in concrete ways and offering some genuine hope, prospects, opportunity in the lives of people.”

Muslim world reacts angrily

However, Muslim and Arab nations have expressed dismay over the Biden-led U.S. administration’s unqualified support for Israel.

People across the Muslim world expressed solidarity with Palestinians.

Notably, people support retaliation from Gaza to Israeli crimes against humanity.

Due to public anger, even those regimes who normalized ties, had to refrain from supporting Israel.

Muslim world has sent a clear message that they support Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation.

Moreover, they also support struggle for liberation of al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

But, it seems that Washington D.C. failed to see ground realities.
