CAOS discusses military cooperation with MBS

Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and discussed military cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations the army chief met the Saudi prime minister during an official visit to the kingdom.

It added that wide-ranging issues related to mutual interest, including regional peace and security, bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

Mohammad Bin Salman highlighted that Riyadh and Islamabad have historic brotherly and strong relations, adding that both countries have always stood up for each other.

He also expressed a desire to further fortify the bilateral relations and that the gulf state will always standby with Pakistan in future as well.

Gen Asim Munir, in response, thanked the Saudi leadership for the warm sentiments and support for Islamabad.

Saudi Press Agency reported that Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, National Security Advisor Dr Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki attended the meeting.

From Pakistan side, Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, Secretary to the Commander of the Pakistani Army Major General Mohammed Jawad Tariq, and the Military Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan in the Kingdom Brig Muhammad Asim were also present on the occasion.
