COAS interacts with families of martyrs

Army Chief General Asim Munir visited Awaran district of Balochistan.

According to the Pakistan military’s Inter-Services Public Relations, Army Chief General Asim Munir was briefed on the security situation during his visit to Awaran district.

Apart from this, the Army Chief was also briefed on the efforts for socio-economic development of the army.

According to ISPR, the COAS interacted with the families of martyrs, local elders and farmers on this occasion.

General Asim Munir also assured the local elders, farmers of full support of the army for security and welfare.

He emphasized the importance of agriculture and the commitment of the army to the Green Pakistan Initiative and said that all kinds of agricultural facilities would be provided to the farmers.

Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir had said the (govt’s) decision to repatriate illegal foreigners was taken in Pakistan’s interest, as they were “seriously affecting” the country’s security and economy.

In a visit to Peshawar General Asim Munir said : “Illegal foreigners were seriously affecting Pakistan’s security and economy.”

“[The] decision to repatriate them has been taken by the government in the interest of Pakistan. Illegal foreigners are being repatriated to their countries in a humane and dignified manner as per the established norms,” ISPR quoted.
