TikToker Arrested In Mansehra For Filming Women In Markets
A TikToker arrested by Mansehra Police for allegedly filming female shoppers and uploading the video to the social media platform without their consent
According to a statement issued by the police’s media wing, the suspect, identifies as Baidar Riaz, was apprehended after he reportedly recorded women in local markets.
“We have arrested a TikToker, identified as Baidar Riaz, as he filmed women shoppers, and then uploaded videos on the platform.”
Authorities reported that police have arrested multiple social media influencers during the past years because they allegedly shared videos that showed firearms.
Two months ago, In Rawalpindi same case has happened, police arrested a man recording women inside a washroom at a govt hospital.
Authorities were informed by Noman Mazhar security supervisor, after a woman alleged she was filmed from a neighboring washroom.
Officials stated at the time, the suspect in that case, identified as Muhammad Khalid, was caught with a mobile phone containing footage of two women. “Upon checking the phone, objectionable videos of two women were found.” A case was filed against Khalid under Sections 292 and 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
SP Talha Wali said that harassment or violence against women and children is intolerable and assured justice for the accused’s actions.
