Music Industry Veteran Peter Katsis dies at 69 Leaves Lasting Music Legacy

Peter Katsis, the longtime music manager known for guiding the careers of some of the world’s biggest artists, has died at the age of 69 after a career spanning more than three decades.

As per ‘Variety’ reported that Katsis passed away on Thursday after following complications from congestive heart failure. His passing was confirmed by a representative.

Initiate his career in 1980s Chicago, Katsis managed Ministry in its early years.  He contributed to the city’s evolving dance music scene, later relocated to Los Angeles in 1990, where he extended his career by working with artists from different musical backgrounds.

In 1997, Katsis move in a new period in his profession by assembly the prominent management company The Firm. During his contract at The Firm, Katsis worked with some worldwide popular artists, assisting to grow there careers of the Backstreet Boys, Korn, Enrique Iglesias, Snoop Dogg, 30 Seconds to Mars, OneRepublic, Audioslave, and Limp Bizkit.

Then, Katsis pass on to co-found Prospect Park Entertainment, and continuous defining the careers of some highly praised artists, containing The Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction, Morrissey, Liz Phair, and 5 Seconds of Summer.

As the music industry mourns his loss, Katsis is survived by his sister, Anastasia Katsis, and his son, Ian.
