Iran urges permanent truce to Stop Israeli crimes in Gaza

Iran on Monday called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza to stop Israel’s “crimes” in the territory as the truce between Israel and Hamas entered its final day.

 

The four-day truce is approaching its scheduled end early Tuesday, Hamas has said it is willing to extend the pause and free more hostages.

 

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, said: “As the Islamic Republic of Iran, we want and expect… that the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people will be stopped completely”.

 

“One of the main goals of the ongoing negotiations and efforts is to ensure that the existing temporary ceasefire takes a stable form and that the cruel aggression of the Zionist regime (Israel) against Gaza is not repeated,” Kanaani added.

 

After the ground invasion of Gaza, “it seems that the Zionist regime after not being able to achieve its objectives” and “wants to obtain a tangible victory”, the diplomat noted as he suggested that “Israel” will not stop its offense on Gaza.

 

Earlier,Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi as saying today that the people of Gaza are the decision-makers to determine the future of the Strip, through the Hamas administration, which represents the legitimate government in Gaza, as it assumed authority through a legitimate process and with the votes of Gazans.

 

“America has no right to interfere or make any decisions for the people of Gaza, and any action they take in this regard is doomed to failure,” Raisi further underlined.

 

Hamas poured across the border on October 7, killing 1,200 people.In response, Israel launched a military campaign to destroy Hamas, killing nearly 15,000 people, almost all civilians including thousands of women and children.

 

Four day temporary Ceasefire in Gaza with mediation of Qatar and Egypt come into force from Friday and since then some prisoners exchanged between Hamas and Israel.
