Karachi to ready for cold wave says PMD

Karachi temeperature could drop to 12°C
Karachi witnessed 14.5°C in last 24 hours, humidity level at 80%

The weather outlook for Karachi for the next 24 hours, with a forecast of cold and clear weather during the next three days, stated Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Temperatures of  cities recorded on Saturday morning: Islamabad 7°C , Murree and Gilgit 5°C, Lahore 12°C , Karachi 18°C, Peshawar 9°C, Quetta 0°C, and Muzaffarabad 6°C.

The Met department stated that the mercury could drop as low as 12 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours in karachi, while the highest temperature could be recorded at 29-31°C.

However, partly cloudy weather with light rain/ snow over the mountains is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Foggy conditions are likely over plain areas of Punjab during night and morning hours”, the report states During the last 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in Gilgit-Baltistan and north Balochistan during night and morning hours. Foggy conditions occurred in a few plain areas of Punjab.
