New cases of dengue fever continue to emerge in Punjab

Lahore :In Punjab, 190 confirmed dengue cases were reported in the last 24 hours. As many as 10,052 confirmed cases of dengue fever have been reported from 36 districts of Punjab this year. According to Health Minister Ali Jan Khan, 4,316 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported in Lahore this year. Yesterday, 101 new dengue cases were reported in Lahore. A total of 2,339 dengue cases have been reported in Rawalpindi this year. Yesterday, 21 new dengue patients were reported in Rawalpindi. A total of 1,012 dengue cases have been reported in Multan this year, while 11 new dengue patients were confirmed in Multan yesterday. A total of 859 dengue patients have been reported in Gujranwala this year and 28 new dengue cases were confirmed in Gujranwala yesterday. A total of 458 dengue cases have been reported in Faisalabad this year, while 12 new dengue cases were confirmed in Faisalabad yesterday.

Two new dengue cases were reported in the last 24 hours from Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sargodha and Toba Tek Singh, while one new case was reported from Sahiwal, Okara, Sialkot, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan, Nankana Sahib, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Vehari.

A total of 160 dengue patients are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals in Punjab, while a total of 92 dengue patients are currently undergoing treatment in hospitals in Lahore.

Citizens are advised to keep their surroundings clean and dry to avoid dengue fever.

They are also advised to cooperate with the health department and call the toll-free hotline 1033 for dengue treatment, information or complaints.
