New tiers of X Premium subscriptions launching soon, Elon Musk
Elon Musk social media platform, formerly known as Twitter and now known as X, introduced two new subscription plans on Friday.
The first is the Premium+ tier, which costs around $16 per month, giving users an ad-free experience while retaining all of the platform’s features. Initially, it is available to web browser users.
The second is the basic tier at $3 per month, but it doesn’t offer an ad-free experience.

Additionally, X plans to integrate video and audio calls for some users, with the aim of turning the platform into a global application. Musk, who acquired the social media platform for $44 billion in October 2022, has been exploring various avenues to extensively monetize it.

Musk acquired Twitter in November 2022 after a legal battle with the company’s board of directors. He then renamed the X platform and presented his intention to turn it into a super app, modeled after China’s famous WeChat.
