The Government of Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Government and people of the State of Palestine in their just demands for their basic rights and equality.

Moreover, the FO condemned Israel for violation of sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied territories.

It urged the international community for prompt action to protect the Palestinians.

The FO further noted such attacks against all humanitarian norms and human rights laws.

Meanwhile, Pakistan also renews its call for the establishment of a viable, independent and contiguous Palestinian State, on the basis of the internationally agreed parameters on the pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

According to the Arab media, Israeli police stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday.

They then launched tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets at worshippers at Islam’s third holiest site in occupied East Jerusalem.

Moreover, Israeli police forcefully evacuated Muslim worshippers to clear the way for the Jewish visitors.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority (PA), which governs parts of the Israeli-occupied West Bank, issued a statement.

It held the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the escalation resulting from the Israeli incursion in the Al-Aqsa mosque complex in occupied Jerusalem.
