Pakistan counterterror measures defeat India in FATF blacklisting bid for one more time.
Particularly, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) meeting in Paris appreciated Pakistan’s actions against money laundering and terror financing.
That sentiment in Paris meeting on Wednesday rebuffed Indian propaganda over FATF blacklisting.
However, Pakistan currently remains on the grey list of the FATF.
But ongoing meeting will not hold voting on removing the country from the grey list because that placement stays for two years.
Meanwhile, sources said that FATF would hold another review of Pakistan’s implementation of the 27 target at its meeting in October 2020.

Luckily, sources noted that India again failed in pushing Pakistan into the blacklist of the FATF.
The FATF meeting appreciated Pakistan’s efforts towards implementing on their recommendations on the 14 out of a total of 21 targets.
During the review process, the member states remained satisfied because of the actions which the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Financial Monitoring Unit (FMU) took.
Sources said that the FATF also expressed its satisfaction over the working of NACTA.
The meeting also reamin satisfied with the steps taken towards carrying out legislation against the smuggling of dollars from the country.
Pakistan enjoys support from friendly countries such as Turkey, China, Malaysia and others who are members of the FATF body.
Besides, Singapore, Holland, Hong Kong, Canada and United States, France, Japan, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and others lauded measures which Pakistan took.
Support of at least three member states is needed to avoid blacklisting at the FATF.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has given assurance to the FATF that it would complete the scrutiny of all welfare organizations working countrywide and bringing improvement in the working of NACTA.
