Pakistan in contact with all global and regional powers on Afghan situation, says Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Saturday.

In a video message, he said that Pakistan stay in close contact with all global and regional powers on recent situation.

He further said that Pakistan was playing an important role for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The people of Afghanistan, he said, would form the government by themselves.

Fawad further said that Pakistan would continue its efforts for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.

He said that the world people and international appreciate role of Pakistani embassy in Kabul.

Moreover, he said that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) assisted about 1,400 people in their evacuation process from Kabul.

The situation in Kabul had made it difficult for journalists, international media, IMF, the World Bank personnel and staff of various embassies to evacuate.

He said that Pakistan embassy in Kabul had issued about 4,000 visas so far.

About 2,000 people have been evacuated from Kabul.

Pakistan embassy sends 57 Pakistani nationals to Torkham

On the other hand, Pakistan embassy was sending 57 Pakistani nationals to Torkham by road today.

In a tweet on Saturday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan said that Pakistan Embassy in Kabul is now sending a group of 57 Pakistanis.

They included women and children. As per ambassador, the embassy is sending them by road to Pakistan via Torkham.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul arranged movement of over 250 people to Kabul airport with security.

These included foreigners and Afghans working for the IMF and the Turkish nationals.
